风化矿床风化矿床mineraldepositbyweathering地壳表层岩石经风化作用促使有用物质就近堆集而形成的矿床。水是风化作用的主要营力,风化作用大都发生在潜水面附近或其上部,分布范围与原生岩石出露的范围一致或相距不远。风化矿床的控矿因素有:①原岩成分。风化的原岩是成矿物质来源,如基性和超基性岩中铁、镍的含量较高,又易于风化,有利于形成铁、镍的风化矿床。②气候条件。它对风化成矿作用有决定性影响。在各类气候条件中以热带与亚热带地区最有利于形成风化矿床。③地形。中低山区和丘陵地区有利于风化矿床的形成和保存。④潜水面。潜水面深度适中,岩石的分解速率和淋滤速率相适应,有利于矿质的富集。⑤地质构造条件。断层和裂隙发育带有利于地下水的大规模运动,因而能控制风化矿床的产出位置和形成深度。⑥时间因素。形成规模大、质量好的风化矿床,需要漫长时间,已知的风化矿床,多数是在第三纪、第四纪或中生代形成的。矿床按产出位置和成因可分为2类:①残余矿床。地表岩石经风化后,一部分活动性组分被淋滤,而另一部分较稳定组分残留在风化壳中相对富集而形成矿床。例如,残余的铁矿、锰矿、铝土矿、镍矿、高岭土矿床等。中国南方(如江西景德镇)的高岭土矿就是花岗岩类风化的产物。②淋积矿床。风化原岩中活动性较大的有用物质,经过淋滤被地下水带到邻近岩石中,因物理化学条件的明显变化而堆积形成矿床。如淋积的铀矿和铜矿等。著名的美国科罗拉多高原的铀-钒矿床就是由于有煤和沥青作为还原剂,促使潜水中的铀化合物沉淀富集而成矿。风化矿产埋藏浅,多呈面型分布,矿石结构疏松,便于露天开采和加工。风化矿床的主要矿产有铁、镍、钴、锰、铀、铜、金、铝土矿、稀土元素、高岭土、磷、硫和重晶石等。中国江西等地花岗岩风化壳中的离子吸附型稀土元素矿床是重要的风化残余矿床。
