芽胞芽胞spore 细菌在菌体内形成的一个圆形或卵圆形的小体。有成套的核质、酶和合成菌体成分的机构,能保存细菌的全部生命活性。产生芽胞的细菌都是革兰阳性菌。芽胞呈现圆形或卵圆形,折光性强,壁厚,不易着色。芽胞一般只在动物体外才能形成,成熟后菌体成为空壳,以后菌体自溶,将芽胞放出,游离于外界环境中。在适宜条件下,又可发芽,形成新的菌体。一个细菌只能形成一个芽胞,一个芽胞也只能生成一个菌体。一般认为芽胞是细菌的休眠状态,其代谢相对静息,抵抗力强,在自然界中可存活多年,成为某些传染病的重要来源。在进行消毒灭菌时,判定灭菌是否彻底,应以芽胞是否被杀死作为标准。
