ABS塑料外观性能一. 流纹流纹常由熔体中的气泡产生,气泡来自潮气、包陷的气体和裂解气体。适当的预干燥可避免与潮湿潮湿有关的流纹。(Fritch.L., “Injection Molding ABS for Properties of Weld Line in Injection Molded Thermoplastics” SPE ANTEC Papers)错误的螺杆设计、过小的螺杆背压、大的塑料颗粒、高的螺杆转速以及使用螺杆减压可引起由包陷气体产生的流纹。裂解气体产生的流纹产生于过高的熔体温度或在塑化筒中长时间的停留、高的喷嘴温度和过度的剪切。过度的剪切产生于:.导致熔体过热的不良螺杆设计;.螺旋片或单向阀开裂;.高的螺杆转速;.螺杆背压过高;.节流浇道和浇口;.非常高的注射速率。通过模具设计和机器调节等措施,流纹也能得到各种程度的消除。某些提高流纹消除能力的机器条件却又反过来加重了型腔流动时产生的气泡。最终的结果总是难以预测的。在喷嘴和模具流道设计正确的假定下,快速充填常常产生较少的流纹(图一)。这是由于气泡生长的时间被缩短了,而且快速充填提高了流纹的消除能力。提高熔体温度虽然也能帮助消除流纹,但结果几乎总是产生更多的流纹(图一)。较高的熔体温度产生较多的气泡,因为熔体的黏度小了,而气泡中的压力却大了。所以,根据不同的情况,高温熔体的快速充填既可减少流纹,也可使其增多。如果快速充填因剪切热使熔体过热,那么流纹就将增多。图二表示增加充填压力可以减少流纹的情形,这在高模温时最有效.消除流纹是一件费力而不易见效的事,最好是避免产生气泡的根本原因,如此就不必再要求消除流纹了.对有待电镀或油漆的塑件,或者将浸泡在热水或溶剂中的塑件,就毋需采用消除流纹的方法.二.光泽ABS塑料含有两种材料,其中一相比另一相容易变形,所以熔体锋面滚动产生的塑料表面本质上是在微米量级内起伏不平的.最佳的光泽取决于将这种起伏不平的新生表面紧贴在高度抛光的模具表面上.虽然人们总是期望较高的熔体温度会有利于提高光泽,但是在大多数情况下却正好相反,尤其是在冷模具中(图三).某些牌号的ABS塑料不甚敏感,所以性能响应曲线比较平坦.熔体过冷也会使光泽降低,因为充填受到了障碍.因为,总的性能响应曲线是一条弓背型的曲线.模具温度对光泽有强烈的影响.冷模具(低于1400F)减少了可得到的光泽,同时使其它成形参数对光泽更为敏感.较高的模具温度(150~1800F)提高了光泽,并减小了熔体温度的影响.
