凤尾藓属凤尾藓属Fissidens藓纲凤尾藓科的代表属。植物体具典型两列扁平形排列的叶片,色泽翠绿或暗绿色,高约0.5~10厘米。叶卵披针形或阔刀形,具背翅及前翅,抱茎;蒴柄细弱。孢蒴卵形或长椭圆形。蒴齿单层,齿片16个,2瓣状深裂,红棕色,具粗条纹及密横脊。蒴盖圆锥形,喙细长。蒴帽兜形。本属约900种,分布于世界各地。中国有50余种。其植物体和蒴齿形式为藓类植物中较原始的类型。
