版式 出版物的版面格式。版式包括标题、题眉、正文、图片、装饰线、页码等构成的实体与空白之间的比例关系。版式决定于书籍的性质及开本的大小与比例。书籍的性质不同，其结构、体例、层次则有所区别，开本的大小与比例不同，除去上、下、内、外白边的宽窄的不同外，其版心的大小及长宽的比例，亦有所不同。装订的方法，对版式也有一定影响，特别是对于内白边的宽度影响更大。 中国古代雕版印刷书籍的版式，天头大于地脚两倍，栏有单、双之分，栏内有行界。由于单面印刷，中缝折叠处有版口、版心及上、下鱼尾，自成格局。现代书籍与画册、画报等，由于以文为主或以图为主，或者图文并重，加之印制技术的区别，其版式亦有所不同。如文字版口与图片版口不同一尺寸比例，题眉、页码的位置亦有所不同。 任何书籍或出版物的版式，都应经过装帧艺术家的设计，其目的是构成与全书各部分的和谐统一，成为书籍总体设计的重要组成部分，以求得视觉上的和谐和心理上的和谐，便于读者的视线较长时间地停留在版面上，减少疲劳，产生清新愉快之感，以收到阅读的效果。但版式的设计，应与使用目的、读物性质与经济条件相适应。
