七音略为宋郑樵所撰通志二十略之一，为分析字音之书。在等韵学著作中，与韵镜并为最早之韵图。其书本於胡僧之七音韵鑑而作，先列谐声制字六图，一为正声协声同谐图，二为声音俱谐图，三为音谐声不谐图，四为一声谐二音图，五为一音谐二声图，六为一音谐三声图。所谓声者平上去入四声也，所谓音者宫、商、角、徵、羽、半徵、半商七音也。次列内外转四十二图，每图纵立平上去入四声，横列七音。以影喻晓匣属宫，即喉音也；以见溪群疑属角，即牙音也；以端透定泥知彻澄娘属徵，即舌音也；以帮滂并明非敷奉微属羽，即脣音也；以来为半徵，即半舌音也；以日为半商，即半齿音也。四声之中，又各分四等，广韵二百六部之韵目即分列於四声各等之後。图中各格所列之字，纵必与七音三十六母之一同母，横必与四声二百六韵之一同韵。每图之後，又必注明其轻重，有重中重、重中轻、轻中重、轻中轻、重中轻（内重）、轻中重（内轻）、重中重（内重）、重中轻（内轻）、轻中轻（内轻）诸别。而不注明开合与清浊，颇与韵镜不同。
