科学研究体制 科学社会学研究的范畴之一。指科学研究的组织原则、组织方式和科学制度、组织结构及运行机制等方面的总和。 科学研究体制的产生和发展，受科学系统的发展需要和社会生产方式的发展所制约；同时它通过不断改变自己的结构形式，推动和促进科学与经济、社会的发展。科学史上最早出现的科学研究体制是17世纪英国等地的科学研究学会。在学会内部，科学家通过讨论会、出版书刊等形式进行学术交流。到18、19世纪，科学研究体制的形式是建立某一学科或某一项目的专业化研究机构，这类机构就象物质生产中的工场手工业一样，已有严格的专业化分工，并受协作劳动的制约。20世纪以来，科学研究的社会化程度愈来愈高，并发展为国家规模，出现了科学、技术、生产的整体化趋势的科学研究体制。 科学研究体制是国家政体的一种建制，属上层建筑领域，包括科学研究机构、科学管理机构、科学法规和科学政策等。各国社会制度、经济和教育条件不同，形成了不同的科学研究体制。例如，美国、日本等，是官（政府）、民（民间）、学（学术机构）三位一体的科学研究体制，社会学家称之为多元体系。美国联邦政府对多元体制的领导和控制采取两种方法：①通过直接的、等级程序的政府权威，控制为政府工作的科学家；②通过财政预算。苏联强调集中统一的科学研究体制，从科学研究的经费、人员、物质、项目安排直到生产，都由中央统一规划；在机构上形成几个金字塔，如国家科学院、国家计划委员会、各工业部门等系统都有一套复杂的组织机构。80年代中期以后，开始酝酿改革。中国针对科学研究与生产脱节，政府统得过死等弊端，正在进行科学研究的运行机制、组织结构、人事制度等方面的改革。 科学研究体制对导向科学活动，提高科研效率，增强科研活动的经济效益与社会效益，有重要意义。
